Barcelona: not only the ToolTester home base but also a city of museums and a history of unique artists. In 2015 we faced the challenge to help Barcelona-Museum.com, a sightseeing portal, go mobile. The obvious solution: a mobile app for iOS and Android.
Of course we thought it was impossible; with a very limited budget and next-to-no coding experience, we were in no position to pay the five-figure amount that’s needed for an app developer these days.
With a bit of research we realised that there were a number of DIY platforms for building apps out there, most of which required no coding experience at all. The problem we had now was which app maker was right for us? Thus, the idea for AppToolTester was born.
